Lobster - you made the right choice. Took the wife last night to Oakland, and other than the fact that it was the single worse concert experience I've ever had with parking/traffic control (total lack thereof), the show was fairly mediocre. They had their moments, but I found the claw set up distracting. I've been seeing them going on 30+ years (and close to 20 times - with St. Patrick's Day at the Boston Garden with Pixies opening on Zoo TV as one of my top shows ever) and I found the show to be pretty mediocre and less than inspiring (there were moments). I guess at this stage I can only hear "I Will Follow" reinterpreted so many different ways.

I did like that they played Zooropa and Miss Sarajevo (Passengers is a great release - them with Eno as full member).

Yeah. The band is playing Angel Stadium next week. With the baseball park only set up there won't be as many people as say Oakland but I can guarantee you it will be a mess parking-wise. The rose bowl was brutal because you were talking over 100,000 people in an outdated stadium with narrow tunnel access. I was smart and ponied out a few extra bucks for a preferred parking spot and since I have season tix to UCLA I new my way around so I got out at a reasonable time. I heard horror stories of folks pulling into their driveways at 4:30 AM and after

I stand corrected, 70,000 x 250 = seventeen million five hundred thousand....

Here's a link to the SF Gate review of last evenings performance.
